Lower Lonsdale, or LoLo to locals, is the most urban address on the North Shore and the easiest sell I make to anyone who works downtown. The SeaBus crosses Burrard Inlet from Lonsdale Quay to Waterfront Station in roughly twelve minutes, which beats most drives from within Vancouver itself.
The Shipyards District has transformed the waterfront into a year-round gathering place, with restaurants, breweries, a public plaza, and the Polygon Gallery steps away. Lonsdale Quay Market covers the daily essentials with a view. This is the one North Vancouver neighbourhood where living without a car is a genuinely comfortable option.
